The first issuing of the "Volunteer Coin" honors and commemorates Jr. Eagles coaches and volunteers. Minting and production of the coin was sponsored by Flying Colors / shop.ConnellWA.com. The coin distribution, collection and value is sponsored by the Greater Connell Area Chamber of Commerce.

Coaches and volunteers in the Jr. Eagles youth sports organization were issued the coins to be used as a $10 gift card at participating local vendors. Recipients could also choose to hold the coin as a keepsake. The coins will remain in circulation until they are recovered by the Chamber of Commerce. 

Anyone can use the coins at participating vendors and anyone can turn them in for $10 cash. There are 100 in circulation at the outset of issuing them.
